OPENING TIMES
The site will open at 0930h on Sunday September 25th.

The site will close around 1700h.
* Gates open for display entrants at 0800h


ADMISSION FEES

Anyone under 5 is allowed in for FREE.
DOGS (under control) are allowed in for FREE.
Carer for disabled visitor: FREE (one per disabled visitor) the Disability Living Allowance letter or similar will serve as proof of eligibility.
Anyone 5 or over and under 16, pays £5.

Standard admission on the day £15 CASH ONLY.

Concessionary admission on the day £10. - show your National Bus Pass
Brochures if bought separately £5, but £3 if bought with admission

Late entry (after 1500h) to view exit parade £5, under 16 free.

Separate charges apply for visiting the Whipsnade Zoo but by showing your SHOWBUS ticket you get in for HALF PRICE! Full details of the Zoo and its charges here. A regular free shuttle bus will take you from SHOWBUS to the Zoo from around 1000h.

Car parking is free.

For those arriving on a SHOWBUS exhibit there are separate entry arrangements which also apply to large parties & excursions. Full details will be sent to exhibitors or are available on request.

GETTING THERE

By Bus or Train
Several commercial bus services will run specially to SHOWBUS.
From St Albans Abbey Station hourly link via the Verulamium Museum and City Station twice an hour on the Thameslink line: one bus direct and one via Abbey & Verulamium by Red Rose.
Red Rose service 1S between SHOWBUS and Hemel Hempstead linking with some Carousel journeys on route 1A to the Marylebone line at High Wycombe and Amersham, the Underground at Amersham and Chesham and the Euston line at Hemel. Most journeys will connect with Red Rose Sunday 501 service from Aylesbury (Marylebone line), Tring, Berkhamstead, Kings Langley, Watford and Watford Junction (Avanti West Coast & Overground).
Arriva will run a special service from Luton Airport and Interchange (St Pancras line) via the busway and Dunstable.
There is also the free shuttle from Whipsnade Zoo every 30 minutes many journeys using UNO's electric doubledecker.

By Car
Parking is free at SHOWBUS. The car park will be available from 0830.
The Hertfordshire Showground is on the A5183 (Dunstable Road), located just 300m off Junction 9 of the M1
The car park is the first entry to the Showground from the north having exited at junction 9.
From any direction follow the Department of Transport brown signs to the Hertfordshire Showground.

By Plane
From Luton Airport get the Arriva SX regular service to Showbus via the busway.


Other nearby attractions include:
The adjacent Hertfordshire Garden Centre, Whipsnade Zoo, Dunstable Downs, St Albans city, Food & Drink Feastival in St Albans and Verulamium Roman Museum.

Make a weekend of it and visit the Victoria 90th static display of vintage coaches at Victoria Coach Station on Saturday.
