 Astromega DD026 was seen in the Coach Canada yard at the same time as the new deliveries. It was part of the initial Megabus delivery for the cross border service to New York. Though in Toronto, DD026 was destined to work out of the US, note the Coach USA branding below the cab window. |
 Also in the yard was US bound DD027 with lettering for all the cities served from the Big Apple back in July 2009. |
 This second view of DD42453 alongside DD42451 shows the lettering pertinent to Megabus Canada. The service from New York to Toronto was effectively being extended to Kingston and Montreal. Hence the need for the additional Canadian based vehicles. Coach Canada had been operating an express Toronto - Montreal service in competition with Greyhound Canada and the railways for $10 one way for a couple of years, so this operation was subsumed within the new Megabus service. |
