Carters Bristol VRTSL3 ECW singledecker HNP165S
Originally Ribble 2009 (CBV9S) this otherwise standard ECW bodied Bristol VRTSL3 was cut down to half height for use on the short lived Guide Friday Cotswold Tour and re-registered HNP165S. The bus passed to Carters who displayed it at SHOWBUS 2001

Carters Optare Spectra K310FYG
Distinctive though the London Buses Optare Spectras were when first deployed on route 3, they were soon dispensed with when in London Central ownership. Spectra SP10 (K310FYG) was sent to Go-Ahead Northern, with most of the batch, as their 3842. It later headed south to Carters, where it is seen at the 2007 North Weald event.

Carters Alexander Dennis Enviro400 AY58CYJ
Arriving for SHOWBUS international 2009 was year old Alexander Dennis Enviro400 AY58CYJ, a distinctive new purchase for a small independent operator. It was sold to Kent based Travelmasters by 2014, two years before the takeover by Ipswich Buses.

Carters VDL SB180 MCV 260
The following year brand new MCV bodied VDL SB180 (AY60BVD) arrived for SHOWBUS international. This bus did pass to Ipswich Buses as their 156.

Carters Leyland National Greenway LG587</a>
Former
Eastern Counties Leyland National LN587 (WAH587S) got the Greenway treatment and a new lease of life by East Lancs in 1995, becoming LG587. It lived on in East Anglia after sale passing to Carters and, when seen arriving at SHOWBUS international 2012, had been recently acquired by the Colne Estuary Preserved Buses group, who, so far, had retored its fleet number. Happily its restoration proceeded and it sports Easter Counties red, cream and orange de-regulation livery once more.
