Eastern Counties Bristol LSX4G ECW LL744
The vehicle pictured above is one of only two such vehicles. It is a prototype underfloor engined single deck Bristol LSX4G, built in 1951. The '4G' refers to the engine, a Gardner 4-cylinder HLW diesel. LL744 (MAH744) was operated by the Eastern Counties and the first prototype, NHU2, was operated by the Bristol Omnibus Company and had the more common Bristol six cylinder engine. LL744 is depicted here at the 2002 SHOWBUS international display.
