MK Metro at MK Station
New deliveries jostle outside the Railway Station for passengers headed by a Mellor bodied Iveco. This reflected a major change introduced by Julian Peddle. He came up with the odd concept that passengers transferring between bus and train would like to get on and off directly outside the Rail Station. The Bus Station is almost a half mile's walk away and just out of sight. Still that was not the only mistake MK Developers made!

MK Metro Leyland Swift Reeve Burgess Harrier 402
Julian Peddle had acquired several Swifts when at Stevensons, including some bought new with Wright Handybus bodywork which went on to serve with Arriva. This odd little Swift of MK Metro, 402 (G412GBD), is seen at the Winterhill depot and is believed to be the last Swift to enter service having been a development vehicle with Leyland and passing to Volvo when they took Leyland over, where it stayed for some time before being acquired by MK Metro and it was a while before the necessary work had been done and it could then enter service.

MK Metro Bristol LH6L ECW 497
Seen at the North Weald Bus Rally is MK Metro's ECW bodied Bristol LH6L, 497 (AFB597V). Originally in the Bristol Omnibus fleet as 466, it was one of the last LH chassis built. The livery includes, a little oddly, a cream waistband, which the bus never had when new as it was delivered in NBC apple green and white.

MK Metro Caetano bodied Dennis Darts
Caetano bodied Darts were a popular purchase across the Status/TGM group for a while. This pair appeared at SHOWBUS 2004, the orange bus winning the Best Millennium Bus Award. Both buses were secondhand acquisitions. Nearer the camera is the yellow Nimbus model, W3CTS, from Cheney of Banbury. The orange Caetano Compass Dart is ex Limebourne (Independent Way) of Battersea and is carrying the registration - NDZ7918 - frm a Wright bodied London Buses Mercedes minibus, MW18. The bus also saw service with Connex in London.
