Arriva the Shires VDL SB120 Wright 3735
The Wright bodied VDL buses fitted neatly into Arriva the Shires fleet profile - as did the Optare Solos - so it was not surprising when more joined the fleet under Arriva ownership, like 3735 (YJ07JVX) seen on Midsummer Boulevard in June 2009 with full route 4 branding, bur no fleetname.

Arriva the Shires VDL SB120 Wright 3729
Still in MK Metro livery - minus any fleetnames - in 2009 was former 59 (KX54AVE), now numbered 3729 and seen on the Railway Station forecourt.

Arriva the Shires Dennis Dart Plaxron Pinter SPD 3510
New to an operator in Dublin, 44 (V897DNB) was doubtless another canny purchase by Julian Peddle. The SPD size Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Dart supplemented the VDL buses on route 5 and was still in fully branded 5 livery in 2009 as fleet number 3510. In 2009 it was one of the few vehicles to sport the new "mk metro" fleetname introduced by Arriva

Arriva the Shires Scania L94UB Wright 3626
Amongst the last new purchases under Juilan's ownership were half a dozen new Wright Solar style bodies on Scania L94UB chassis 83-88 (YN06JXJ-M/O/P) and this was 86 (YN06JXM). Squeezing between a pair of coaches on the station forecourt in 2009 with Motts Travel on the left and a United Counties Virgin branded Luton Station link vehicle, is Scania 3626.
