Paul McCartney's pop group "Wings" once had an open top Bristol KSW belonging to Valliant Silverline. It was painted to promote the group's tour of Europe and subsequently appeared at the 1973 Brunel University Brunelzeebub Bus Rally in January 1973. This event was the forerunner of SHOWBUS. The Wings coach company, based in Hayes invokes memories of that KSW, former Eastern National 2385 (WNO481). The company diversified into London Transport tendered services in 1999, but sold that operation to Tellings Golden Miller who subsequently sold their London bus operations to National Express subsidiary, Travel London who in turn passed it to Dutch Railways trading as Abellio.

The second route, the H50, was branded as "trainlink" linking Stockley Park with Hayes & Harlington and West Drayton stations. A "London & Country" style colour scheme was chosen. East Lancs Dart SLF W435CRN is seen near Stockley Park also in November 2001.

Wings final route was the E6 to Bulls Bridge for which a fleet of Dennis/Plaxton MPD Pointer Darts was purchased. Dart SK02TZP is seen in twilight in 2002. Sadly the diversity of colour schemes was forcibly abandoned in favour of Livingstone red.

A glimpse of glories past, seen away from Wings normal operating area down in Woking, is Pointer Dart MPD SK02TZW, new to Wings but with Abellio Surrey as 8073 in August 2016 before the company withdrew from most of its Surrey operations.
