Lincoln City Daimler Fleetline
Surprisingly Merseyside PTE bought a batch of fifty Daimler Fleetlines in 1973 to join their predominantly Leyland fleet. They were sold on long before MTL days and what was 3009 (CKC309L) is seen here as Lincoln City 95. The bodywork on all fifty was by MCW.

United Counties Leyland Nationals & MPTE Fleetline
United Counties Leyland National 482 (RNV482M) is seen alongside a fellow National which passed to the Luton & District fleet. At the end of the line, in full MPTE green and cream, is another of the fifty Fleetlines in the Buffalo Travel fleet.

Cedric Coaches ECW bodied Olympian ACM708X
Cedric Coaches of Wivenhoe operated this Merseyside PTE ECW bodied Olympian once 0034 (ACM708X). It is seen at the 1999 North Weald Rally.

MK Metro Doubledeckers
The doubledecker bus fleet at MK Metro was decimated, having been built up to include a significant number of Bristol VRs when in Cambus ownership. The two vehicles here though are both very interesting. Nearest the camera is an Alexander bodied Metrobus, originally with Merseyside, believed to be MK 258, former PTE 0258 (DEM258Y). Alongside is the prototype Leyland Olympian/Northern Counties acquired from Black Prince, whose livery is still worn on all bar the front. The Olympian was displayed at SHOWBUS 98 and later passed to the Manchester Transport Museum who have agreed to keep it in MK Metro colours for some years before returning it to its original Manchester colours.

Liverbus Leyland Atlantean Northern Counties
The Liverbus operations in both Merseyside and London (London Suburban Buses) were acquired by MTL. The London operations were merged with MTL's London Northern fleet and ultimately disappeared into Metroline. The Liverpool fleet merged with MTL after a period of operation as MTL Liverbus. This former Manchester Northern Counties bodied Atlantean was typical of the Liverbus fleet. The livery was shared with the London buses.
