Oxford Bus Company Volvo B10BLE Wright 816
To commemorate 125 years since the foundation of operations in Oxford which led to the current Oxford Bus Company back in 1881, Wright bodied Volvo B10BLE 816 (W816FBW) was painted into the traditional red and maroon of City of Oxford Motor Services, with duck egg green relief as seen here two years later.

Next in line, 817 (W817FBW), was painted in Oxford tram livery, similar to the coach livery some years later and before the acquisition of South Midland Motor Services. This city centre shot was also taken in May 2008.

Two years on and 816 is seen in St Aldates with a pair of Citaros and a Thames Travel bus, still in its commemorative colours.

By 2011, the lettering on 816 could be changed to celebrate the 130th anniversary of public transport in Oxford as the bus is seen rubbing shoulders with Alexander Dennis Enviro400 bodied Scania N230UD, 225 (PF10OXF).
