 Two PD3 doubledeckers at Showbus 80 at Thorpe Park: On the left is Delaine's 50 (RCT3), now preserved by the company and bearing rare Yeates bodywork dating from 1959. Alongside a more familiar combination, a PD3 with Alexander bodywork, formerly with Edinburgh City Transport as 998 (PWS998) and of a type familiar to the fleet, but not when new in 1957. The grill is 'St Helens' style, but not quite. Subsequent Scottish deliveries had grills more like Delaine's 50. |
