Great Sights own no coaches but contract other companies to perform their range of tours or as franchisees. Several New Zealand companies have been involved in supplying coaches, Johnstones being the most popular, now owned by Go Bus, part of the Kinetic Group. A number of coaches have moved with contracts between Ritchies and Johnstones.
Great Sights MAN
The first sight of a Great Sights coach is this MAN outside the Novotel at the Auckland Ferry Terminal in April 2000. Note the Gray Line logo towards the rear. On quiet days it is not uncommon for tour companies to pool passengers on to one coach, so a bit like airlines you will find passengers on the same coach having paid different prices for the same tour.

Great Sights Volvo B12 Designline TM3488
With the Ferry Building behind, Johnstones Designline bodied Volvo B12 1217 (EQF174) has an impressive Scenic 1994 Designline bodied MAN 22.360 doubledeck coach alongside, 55 (SCL55). The 1995 coach was sold on to Kiwi Coachlines as their 642. Whilst with Johnstones it had rego JCL17, suggesting it was originally in their fleet colours. The MAN later passed to Johnstones as 55 (FJZ104) and subsequently passed through many hands including Citibus of Dunedin, Invercargill Passenger Transport and Go Bus before ending up with New Zealand Coach Services by 2020.
