A surprising sight in August 2007 was this Alexander Dennis Enviro500 seen entering Seattle late afternoon.

 First Transit monitor service performance on behalf of Community Transit and Sound Transit in the Seattle area. This Dodge van was parked on the forecourt of Union Station and the service supervisor was kind enough to provide details of when the Enviro would leave the city and by which route. With complicated one way systems and a variety of routings this was very helpful. |

In due course the telephoto lens picked up the decker, threading its way through downtown traffic followed by an RTS of the fleet and a King Sound Metro Flyer. Following Las Vegas CAT, Community Transit became the second US operator to put modern deckers into regular passenger service.

 Having picked up at their last stop in 2nd Avenue, the Enviro and RTS have to swing across the traffic ready for a left turn to access the highway north in the opposite direction. |
 Eventually 27900 comes into view. The bus was on a one year lease from Alexander Dennis and was being trialled on a variety of commuter routes. In the coffee drinking capital of the world, the bus was being marketed as the "Double Tall". Double Tall was rotated every two weeks among the express routes to downtown Seattle. Its schedule was posted on the Community Transit website and apparently passengers often adjusted their schedule so they could ride on it. |
