 The Foothill Transit bus alongside the Metro Rapid NABI is a CNG powered low floor Gillig. Whilst the Metro Rapid is clearly on the 720 bound to Montebello, Foothill's F1170 is flashing the intermittent message "God Bless America". The patriotic message still healing the wounds from the Twin Towers terrorist attack 11 months earlier. The Foothill Transit fleet is maintained by a subsidiary of First. |

 By 2008 the Metro Rapid NABI rigid fleet had moved on to less high profile routes, 7918 is on the 439 about to head for Downtown LA from the LAX Transit Center in late December 2007. |

 A new fleet of NABI 45C-LFW buses was delivered for Metro Rapid routes in 2004. This one is seen rounding a corner in Santa Monica in October 2005. The buses have a single piece body shell containing the chassis components made from glass- and carbon-fibre reinforced, vinyl-ester resin laminate. This obviously is corrosion proof, but its light weight ensures economical operation. |
