 One of the star attractions at EFE SHOWBUS International 2004 was First Mercedes Citaro fuel cell powered ESO64993 (LK53MBV). Open top Routemaster RM120 (now registered SSL809) was parked alongside to enable visitors to view the roof mounted fuel cell technology. The bus is one of three in use by First in London and one of a trial fleet funded by Brussels in use in cities throughout Europe. To the left of the Citaro is the former Westcliffe-on-Sea Bristol K/ECW 825 (AJN825) making a welcome return to SHOWBUS after suffering fire damage a few years ago. First Essex care for this heritage vehicle. |
