for many years. Here renumbered as 198 (LDP945) attended SHOWBUS 75 at Hillingdon.

198 was accompanied by 1 (GRX1N) a then new Metro-Scania dual door doubledecker. The purchase
reflected the always unusual nature of the Reading fleet. Metro-Scanias found favour in large
conurbation fleets - often as one off substantial batches - Reading and Newport were amongst the few
smaller fleets to adopt them. |
