An undoubted Optare devotee, Wilts &
Dorset boasts the largest fleet of the stylish Spectra doubledecker in the
country. These are built to a low-height specification for a fleet that
operates in an area of lowbridges. The large fleet of Metroriders has been displaced
by the largest - so far - anticipated fleet of Optare Solos. Spectra 3120 (L120ALJ)
is seen arriving at Showbus 97, to feature alongside the rally's Optare display.

3144 (M144KRU) is another of Wilts &
Dorset's distinctive Optare Spectras, here on display at the Weston/Bristol
rally in August 98 sandwiched between a preserved Midland Red Leopard and a
Viking/Stevensons coach.

3164 was a Millennium edition to the
Spectra fleet, a low floor model and one of two current W&D vehicles at Millennium Showbus.
