Southern National 462FTT Weymouth used to be the main departure port for the Channel Islands, but recent developments have seen large catamarans operating from Poole more successfully. Back in the sixties, this Southern National FLF operated one of many transfer operations to Weymouth Quay for the Channel Island ferries.
 
Southern National BTA59 This magnificant ECW bodied Dennis Mace 668 (BTA59) put in an appearance at the 2001 Cobham Bus Rally.
 
Southern National YD9533 Another Ace which was about on the rally circuit in the seventies was 350 (YD9533) which is seen here at Showbus 75.

The origin of this photo is unknown, but it illustrated the Showbus 74 rally programme. The destination shows the then owners, the bus itself was an L5G of 1938 which had its chassis lengthened and rebodied as an LL5G in 1955.
