 The five Volvo B11R coaches were preceded at the end of 2013 by five imposing 65 seat B11RT models with the Plaxton Elite-i interdeck coachwork. They had dual branding for airline and the X90. Seen in June 2014 approaching Hillingdon LT Station - where London-Oxford coaches dip off the A40 to set down and pick up - working an X90 to London Victoria was 64 (UK63OXF). Picture ref A3472 |

 In 2015 another nine Elite-i coaches joined the fleet for the X90 service. However the company pulled out of the London market leaving the route to the Oxford Tube. Some of the X90 coaches transferred north within Go-Ahead to work Go North East's Xlines network, 68 (X90YES) remained in Oxford and was repainted from X90 two tone grey into airline blues. Others were destined to transfer locally to Carousel for a new High Wycombe - Maidenhead - Heathrow service, but the COVID pandemic resulted in that service being still born even though at least one coach was painted into Carousel red livery. Unusually 68 is seen in August 2021 in West Wycombe, problems on the M40 having diverted it on to the old A40.

 Oxford Tube's regular fleet updates produced a fleet of Plaxton Panorama bodied Volvo B11RLET doubledeck coaches. Seen on stand in Oxford's Gloucester Green Bus and Coach Station is 50437 (YX70LVC), alongside is Elite-i 71 (X90LON). The shot allows comparison of the Plaxton model rear ends as seen in April 2022.
