A mix of buses in Leeds Bus Station. Joining Alexander RH First vehicles are Arriva Yorkshire deckers, including a relatively rare Plaxton President bodied example, a Yorkshire Coastliner Volvo B7RLE, a Stagecoach Hull Volvo B10M as well as a First Yorkshire Volvo B7TL Wright Eclipse Gemini.

First deployed its Overground network concept to Leeds, with each route having its own colour in London Underground style. This unidentified Alexander ALX400 bodied Volvo B7TL has side branding for route 56 in turquoise. Other buses in the fleet received similar branding for different routes, but operationally those on the ground did not share the vision of those despatching and allocating buses in the morning run out, consequently the wrong branded buses appeared on the wrong routes. Slowly the individually branded buses gave way to destination displays carrying the route colour information, at the expense of destination details.
