MAN is a major German based manufacturer, with worldwide sales. The company purchased Neoplan at the turn of the century. Researching the different chassis has been difficult, not least because of the overlapping designation systems used. The number series is paralleled by the lettered series usually prefixed N or, for older models, S. More recently the A-series is in use alongside model names like the Lion range. American buses have their own designation. Anyone with a definitive list is welcome to get in touch.
