Thames Valley 202 (RRX993G) was from the first batch of LHs delivered to the
fleet. The front styling owed a lot to the Bristol RE bus of the day and
both had shallow screens dictated by some Tilling fleet's fashion for the 'T-style'
destination blind, which Thames Valley liked amongst others. The numbering of
the bus also signified the departure from the D, S, C scheme started with Lodekka
D1 (839CRX). Singledeckers were supposed to start at S301 and coaches at C401.
Presumably this was an acceptance that the double/single deck ratio of the fleet
was changing. Despite its reliance on urban doubledeck routes, Thames Valley
always operated rural routes with lightweight singledeckers and built up a
small fleet of LH buses and the associated South Midland fleet had some
Duple Commander bodied LH coaches. 202 is seen on the Lacey Green stand at
Frogmoor Bus Station, High Wycombe.

Thames Valley 206 (RRX997G) is seen in Newbury Bus Station when new, displaying the clean lines of the rear view of the LH6L. It was a pity the front end of the early models was not as attractive.

Seen in the early seventies at Newbury Bus Station, a Crosville MW coach is on layover in company with an earlier Royal Blue MW and Thames Valley Bristol LH 213 (VMO233H).

Newbury Wharf Bus Station departure stand is seen here with a mix of Bristol LD Lodekkas and newer LHs.
