Silcox Bristol Lodekka FLF6G ECW 19, 538OHU & BHU976C
Looking like cast offs from Brighton, Hove & District this trio of FLF Lodekkas were in the school contract fleet of Silcox Motors. On the right is ex Hants & Dorset 1537 (FLJ154D) numbered 19 by Silcox. The bus was with them from 1981 for about seven years, being exported to Italy in 1990 and last reported in 2015 in Rome converted for use as a party bus and named "Mister Bus"! The other pair are obviously ex Bristol with their T-shaped blind boxes and four track number display. On the left is 22 (BHU976C), former C7176 acquired in 1978 and sold to a youthful Stagecoach in Perth in 1986. The third FLF6G in the middle, 20, is former Cheltenham District 7075 (538OHU). Silcox acquired it shortly after C7176 and re-registered it ABX172A in 1987 six months before withdrawing it. It was exported to the USA, first seeing service with British Double Deckers in Denver, but by 1997 was with the Savannah College of Art & Design in Georgia.
