In Easter 2005 what were thought to be the Stagecoach VR deckers were touring the city in Malaysian Airlines livery. This one, though is thought to be the former Trent/United Airlines bus and is seen by the Ferry Building. The Auckland Explorer Bus operates as a "HOP ON HOP OFF" sightseeing tour visiting Auckland's big fourteen attractions, with full commentary on board. The service was run by tour operator Jasons in 2005 and the doubledeckers are supplemented by some MCW MetroRiders.

Auckland Explorer MCW MetroRider
A handful of MCW MetroRiders found their way to New Zealand. It is not known if this one was imported new or secondhand, probably from a London operaot from its livery. It is on the Auckland Explorer Tour by the Ferry Building in April 2000.
