Red Bus MAN 11.220 Designline 363
At first glance it looks as though MAN 11.160 363 (AAK100) has been the victim of graffiti, but closer examination of the other Designline bodied bus in front suggests that either the artist was very accomplished at producing identical "works of art" or this was a spoof advert by Vodafone. The coincidence of the two buses following each other in April 2004 gives further credence to the spoof convoy. The 2001 MAN, 363, went on to work for local company, Bentley Transport.

From 2003 more stylish Designline bodied MAN buses joined the fleet. Tri-axles were back in favour on this 2005 51-seat 17.223, 693 (CML355). When only six or so years old the bus was sold to NZ Bus for use in Wellington as 2306, later moving on to Go-bus as 949.

Leopard MAN 12.223 Designline 89 & Red 17.223 690
The Red Bus 17.223 here, 690 (BYS585), has an identical history to its sister 693 becoming NZ Bus for use in Wellington as 2305 then Go-bus 948. It is being overtaken by Leopard Designline bodied MAN 12.223 89 (CHW254) of 2004, it went on to join Go-bus as 2089.

Seen here is another of the tri-axle 17.223 of 2004, 688 (BYG534). Like the others it went to NZ Bus as 2303 then Go-bus as 942.
