Stagecoach East 47418 should have been parked with the Optare line up at the opposite end of the Museum. It was a late arrival and the advice sign to the parking team 97x was misinterpreted and it was parked in 97 with all the London buses rather than in the 970's!
Several Solos were lined up in the Optare display. First in this view is actually an Arriva bus, from the old Fox division, route branded for East Midlands airport route 155 from Coalville. Next up is Stephensons of Essex, then Norfolk Green and finally Regal Busways.

The line up of Optares contained varied examples including Solos, Tempos, a Delta and a Spectra. The Delta was a former British Airways example now with McEwans and the Spectra came from Eastbourne.

The Optare Delta was built in a standard DAF SB220 chassi and BA took several for airside use with three doors including a set on the offside in the centre. It is self evident where the doors used to be on McEwans H314HLB.
