Crosville Bristol RELH ECW
Sadly the only bus from the UK that made the Pan European Bus Event at Speyer in April 2004 was former Crosville Bristol RELH6G/ECW CRG106 (AFM106G). The party from Liverpool enjoyed the great hospitality which accompanied the impressive event and certainly found the long journey well worthwhile and were planning a trip to an Austrian event in 2005. The illuminated panels on the nearside had been modified by replacing "London" by "Rhine Valley".

Owner of these two magnificent machines is Steve Graham who said they made a fine spectacle tailing each other down the motorway from the North West to attend SHOWBUS in 2006. With EFE launching their new Bristol RELH casting at the event, the pair were parked adjacent to the EFE tent. with CRG106 having made the trip to Speyer in 2004, the Royal Blue coach, 2351 (837SUO), was going to get to visit the location as runner-up in the competition for a sponsored entry at Sinsheim 2007.

Both RELH coaches made the journey to Germany in April 2007 and on the Saturday of the event, the entrants paraded from the Speyer Technik Museum, through the town centre then on to Sinsheim. The two RELHs from Merseyside were amongst the last vehicles through the town. They paused and posed side by side by the main commentary point and were greeted by great applause from the assembled spectators, many enjoying the spectacle from the kerbside cafes.

This picture shows the degree of interest the event provoked with the local community.
