Arriva Midland Red North Dennis Dart Marshall 803
Midland Red North 803 (M803MOJ) is seen on layover in Wolverhampton Bus Station. It is one of four Marshall C37 forty seat Darts purchased in 1994. The choice of bodywork is apposite as the style is that first used by the former Midland Red Carlyle Works when it bodied the first ever Dennis Darts. The design passed quickly to Duple and then to Marshalls. With the advent of the SLF Dart, Marshall came up with its new City design, but there are hints of the original Carlyle in that model.

Midland Red North Leyland Nationals 792 & 648
One time London Country SNB192 (LPB192P) joined Midland Red North in 1988 as their 792 and is seen here at work in Shrewsbury on a free Tesco service along with native Leyland National 648 (PUK648R).

Midland Red North Leyland National Hotspur
An unidentified Leyland National loads busy shoppers in Shrewsbury. It was in a new basic white livery for Midland Red North, abbreviating the fleetname to MRN in the red spot and utilising the NBC MAP marketing name for the local division of Midland Red - Hotspur. This identity never established itself before Arriva turquoise swept all before it.
