127 (K127GNH) presents an off side view of the D10M/Alexander. Note the scroll name above the
destination blind - a number of the fleet being individually named in this way. The bus is powering out of
Northampton Bus Station - Greyfriars. The livery style is that inspired by Grampian.

Bearing its nearside on route to Camp Hill is 99 (J299GNV), it too has the Grampian livery, Northampton Transport having
been an early acquisition by Moir Lockhead's Aberdeen based Grampian Transport, prior to Grampian's
merger with Badgerline creating FirstGroup.

32 (AUT32Y) could be mistaken for another Alexander bodied Volvo, but it is an even rarer beast - a
lowheight Metrobus. One of a small batch acquired by the sister Leicester fleet for services taken
over from Gibsons of Barlestone. Both Leicester and Northampton shared Grampian-style livery
whilst in Grampian ownership and there is frequent interchange of vehicles between the two fleets.

One of the few operators of Alexander bodied lowheight Metrobuses was not surprisingly found north
of the border with Scotland - Midland Scottish. This company too was an early acquisition by
Grampian and via that route, 266 (ULS642X) has found its way south to Northampton.
