This Northern Coachbuilders Daimler CVG6 is seen as part of the FirstGroup heritage display at EFE
Showbus 1998. At one time the Northampton fleet was exclusively Daimler CVG6 and all but these
first vehicles had Roe bodywork. Indeed the fleet boasted the last CVG6 built, and it and others have
been regular visitors to Showbus over the years.

Runnymede near Windsor is the setting for this fine picture of former Corporation 154 (ANH154)
on the Road Run to Hillingdon Showbus from Windsor.

|   |
Seen in 1979 on the last Hillingdon Showbus Road run is 267 (JVV267G) at that time still a member
of the Northampton Borough Transport fleet. It was the last traditionally built Daimler CVG6/Roe
doubledecker and survived in the fleet well beyond its expected life time. The bus is now preserved.

Here at Millennium Showbus 154 is seen alongside 267.

Serving alongside 267 were large batches of Alexander bodied Bristol VRs which altered the fleet from
being 100% Daimler CVG. 40 (PBD40R) is seen here climbing Windsor Castle Hill on the Showbus
Jubilee Road Run in 1977. Behind, painted silver, is National Travel South East's ex East Kent
open topper and an ex Wilts & Dorset LD, a mobile showroom for Image Cards, follows.
