One of the last vehicles operating in former Colchester colours is this National Greenway, once an ordinary dual purpose seated Leyland National in the National Welsh fleet as ND1876 (NWO463R). It is seen at North Weald in 2000 with London Transport RF491 (MXX468) and rare (outside London) new dual door Alexander ALX200 bodied Dennis Dart SLF 3466 (W466XKX). |

Prior to arrival in Colchester, NWO463R was with Guildford & West Surrey as their LNC463. It is seen in Buckingham Palace Road, Victoria on route 415. The route had replaced a former Green Line run to Surrey. |

Arriving at the Imperial War Museum for SHOWBUS international 2009 was former Colchester ECW bodied Bristol RELL6L 24 (SWC24K) which was semi-preserved by Woottens of Chesham as their W54. The bus was representing 1972 in the pageant of 61 buses, representing each year of the 60 years of BUSES magazine (1949-2009). Woottens went out of business, but 24 was saved for preservation after a further spell of service with Dreadnought Coaches of Alnwick. |

The previous year 24 had been in a Bristol display at Duxford with former North Western 382 (SJA382K) and Hants & Dorset 3048 (UEL564J), the odd one out, being an RELL6G and with dual purpose seating. |
