Hull/Bridlington. 40th East Coast Run for pre 1986 vehicles which congregate at East Park, Holderness Road, Hull from 09.30-11.00. Route is via A165. Weymouth. Vintage Bus Running Day based at Lodmoor Coach Park & Weymouth College. Buses will operate to Portland Bill and Bowleaze Cove with mystery tours throughout the day. Elstree & Borehamwood. On the Buses event as part of the 80th anniversary celebrations of Elstree Studios. Starts 11.00 at Innkeepers Lodge, Borehamwood with reception and television film footage of On the Buses film and tv series. Followed by Routemaster trip to outlying film locations, followed by big screen presentation of Holiday on the Buses at Reel Cinema, with guest stars for question and answer session, then guided walk around the town to see and photograph On the Buses film locations. Crich Tramway Village. 1950s day. A gala of 1950s music, cars and styles. Plus Presidents' Day when this year's presidents of the Omnibus Society and the Tramway Museum Society, Gavin Booth and Ian Yearsley, host a joint bus and tram event with preserved buses marking the replacement of trams in cities like Leeds, Sheffield, Glasgow and Edinburgh.. St Helens Trolleybus Day. 11.00-16.00 at the North West Museum of Road Transport. To mark the 50th anniversary of the closure of trolleybus services in the town. St Helens vintage buses will travel the Prescott and Rainhill circular routes with a guest appearance of 1951 St Helens BUT/East Lancs trolleybus 387 (BDJ87) returning to the museum for the first time in 40 years.
