Mackay Transit coach in Townsville
A flash back to 1989 and what looks like a Denning Landseer coach is seen on a visit to Townsville that August.

Forward to 2009 and we have another unidentified coach, albeit 11 (MTC11). The body looks like a low slung Austral Pacific, but the chassis is unknown at this stage. The coach is thought to no longer be in the fleet as in 2014 there was no number 11.

Readily identified in blazing sunshine out in the yard is 27 (MTC27) a 1989 Austral DC122 with Austral Tourmaster 48 seat coachwork formerly with Calvary Coaches of Woombye in Queensland and Kirkland Bros Omnibus Service. The coach has since left Mackay's.

Traversing the yard was Austral Denning Majestic bodied Mercedes O404 104 (681IZL). The coach has since been sold, but unsurprisingly from its style was new to AAT Kings, but came to Mackay by way of Murrays.

Here we have 34 (MTC34) an Autobus bodied Volvo B12R new to Premier Motor Service, but acquired via Northland Coach & Travel of Grafton, NSW. Probably because Volvos are rare in the fleet, it has since been sold to Coolum Coaches in Queensland and reregistered 720SYR. Alongside is a coach from Victoria, 33 (MTC33), a 1999 Austral Denning Highlander formerly with Kingston's Coaches of Stawell and new to Cullens Bus Lines of Wangaratta.
