Stagecoach United Counties Leyland Olympian Alexander
Seen In Bedford is 628 (F628MSL), one of the first of many Alexander bodied high capacity Olympians that flooded into the Stagecoach United Counties fleet in its early days, displacing elderly Bristols. Note the plain blue UNITED COUNTIES fleetnames.

When seen in late 2003 in Northampton 693 (R693DNH) had been numbered 16693 in the national fleet numbering and gained the new Stagecoach logo on the old stripey livery.

A huge Tina Turner concert planned at Woburn Abbey had a major transport operation to go with it. Buses from Red Rose (their Willowbrook Warrior Q-registered Bedford is seen on the left), United Counties and Buffalo Travel (assorted doubledeckers) are seen awaiting passengers at Bletchley Station. Sadly that was what they spent most of the day doing as the concert was a flop. Note the early deregulation "tyre tred" style fleetname in use on the Alexander bodied Olympian in the picture.

Olympian/Alexander 753 (S753DRP) is seen near First Northampton's depot on a sunny Sunday in late 2003.
